Why should context be an issue if The Bible is infallible? Shouldn't we just read it and do exactly as it says?

since it is perfect? No contradictions. No fallacies. Since it's perfect, we should be able to just read it as it is and do as it says. It should be able to stand the test of time and adapt to changing times. That means, we should still be stoning adulterers and beat our children and not stop just because they cry. Kindness out the window. But wait, doesn't The Bible also supposedly advocate kindness? I'm confused.
