I am confused about certain aspects of Catholic teachings/ HELP NEEDED.?

Over the last few months I have started to grow closer to Christ. I was raised in the Catholic Church. Recently I have found several tenet s in the Catholic faith that I do not agree with. I am seriously having trouble with asking Mary and the saints to pray for me because I have a direct line of communication with Jesus. I also do not believe in praying for the souls of the dead and confessing my sins to a priest. In all honesty, I truly believe that the Holy Spirit is directing me to question the aforementioned issues. I am at a point in my life where I am trying to develop a true relationship with Christ. I also do not buy in to the fact the pope is in infallible. Only Christ is in infallible. Is it possible to remain a Catholic Christian if I do not believe in certain aspects of what the church teaches?
